The Albany County Capital Resource Corporation assisted BOCES with its Career & Technical Education Center on Watervliet Shaker Road, which opened in 2022. The 170,000 square-foot facility had about 1,100 high school students and more than 200 adults enrolled in classes the first year. The center is home is 25 high school programs and several adult education programs that will prepare students for in-demand careers. Students benefit from hands-on learning with the latest and greatest technology including a Lincoln VRTEX welding simulator for welding students and refrigeration and heat pump trainers for HVAC students.
